HE Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi Minister of Foreign Trade of United Arab Emirates

Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi has had numerous personal, professional and official achievements. She has Honorary Doctorates in Science, Law and Economics from California State University, the University of Exeter and the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Korea), respectively. She was included in The Wall Street Journal’s “50 International Women to Watch,” was named “The Most Powerful Arab Woman” in the Forbes Magazine List of the World’s Most Powerful Women in 2010,” and was chosen as the “Most Powerful Arab Woman” by Arabian Business Magazine. Her Excellency was the former CEO of Tejari (www.tejari.com), the premier electronic B-to-B marketplace. She was named the UAE’s Minister of Economy in 2004, becoming the first female official of the UAE Government. She also concurrently served as the Chairperson of the UAE's Securities & Commodities Authority. She was appointed as Minister for Foreign Trade in 2008. Sheikha Lubna is presently a Board Director of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation.
