How to Get to the ACT Annual Conference 2009

For the very first time, we will be hosting the conference at Manchester Central
Ideally located in the centre of the UK, Manchester is served by road, rail and air links making it an easily accessible location for visitors from all over the world.
By car
Half of Britain’s motorway network passes through Manchester with approximate journey times of 2 hours to Birmingham, 3½ hours to London and 4 hours to Edinburgh by car, allowing easy road access for delegates from the UK. Manchester Central has a large NCP car park directly under the venue with 720 spaces. There is also another
car park on site with 200 spaces.
By train
Trains from city centre stations link to the rest of the UK, connecting London and Manchester with a journey time of under 2 hours, as well as travelling directly to a wide range of cities. Services come into the city at either Piccadilly or Victoria stations, both of which connect to the city’s metrolink light rail system. For more information visit: www.nationalrail.co.uk

By air
Manchester Airport hosts 100 airlines flying from over 200 destinations worldwide and boasts one of the most comprehensive domestic route networks of any UK airport. It also offers direct flights from many international cities as well as flights to nearly every major European city. Manchester Airport is 9 miles from the venue and is a 25 minute
drive away. There is a direct express rail service to the city centre which takes about 20 minutes.
