As Director of Communications, Kate heads up the marketing function and is responsible for ensuring the ACT communicates effectively with its members and the wider financial community. Kate also co-ordinates activities with overseas national treasury and other relevant associations.
The marketing department concentrates on education and publication marketing, PR and website content. On the education side, this involves promoting the AMCT Diploma, MCT Advanced Diploma and Certificates to potential and existing students worldwide, while on the publication side this involves increasing the awareness of The Treasurer magazine and The Treasurer's Handbook. In addition, the department is responsible for maintaining relationships with members of the press to increase the awareness of the treasury profession and to ensure that the ACT is the first port of call for information on treasury.
Kate is a qualified Chartered Secretary and has an investor relations background, having worked for leading consultancy Makinson Cowell and the Investor Relations Society. She joined the ACT in 1998 as General Manager, was appointed Commercial Director in 2003 and became Director of Communications in 2006.
Louise manages the day-to-day running of the projects within the marketing department. She is involved in the promotion of the ACT's educational products, and has been instrumental in the internationalisation of all of the ACT's qualifications.
