Why join a faculty?

Open to ACT certificate holders and ACT members, faculties will continue your involvement with the ACT once you have finished studying and support your continuous professional development.

Benefits include access to a wide range of resources including the knowledge centre with updated certificate course materials, best practice guidance and the latest technical content as well as The Treasurer magazine. Networking opportunities are also available through the directory of faculty members, discussion forums and ACT regional group events.

Use of the ACT's certificate designatory letters is exclusive to faculty members.

Benefits of faculty membership

A survey showed that 90% of students completing the CertITM qualification would like to stay involved with the ACT - you can do this through the ITM faculty.

Designatory letters

Use of the designatory letters enables you to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in your field of study. The designatory letters available are determined by the certificate you have successfully passed and may only be used if you are a faculty member.

Knowledge centre

The knowledge centre is a complete resource database which provides access to a range of financial publications, articles, information and comment as well as access to the most up-to-date version of the certificate course learning materials.

Certificate resources

Faculty members have access to the latest version of the certificate course material through a dedicated search page. These resources are the most current versions in use by students on the course.

Spotlight

Each month the spotlight will focus on a different issue, providing comment, guidance and links to useful articles.

The Treasurer magazine

Issued 10 times a year, The Treasurer is the ACT's official magazine and a highly respected publication providing updates, practical guidance and informed comment on major treasury issues. Faculty members will receive a free subscription to both the print and online versions, saving you £195 per year.

Faculty directory

Search the faculty directory to find contact details for other members who have opted in to the online directory.

Member discounts

Faculty members will benefit from special member rates when attending ACT training courses and events and purchasing the International Treasurer's Handbook.

ACT regional group meetings

Providing a regular forum for discussion and networking, ACT regional groups enable you to keep in contact with fellow treasury and finance professionals in your local area.

Membership fees

The faculty membership fee is £129 pa for the first faculty you join, and an additional £50 pa for each further faculty (there are four faculties available to join). Faculty subscriptions are pro-rataed to May of each year.

ACT members can access all faculties at no charge.

AMCT students who have completed a relevant certificate can access the relevant faculty free of charge whilst they remain a current student.
