As good as it gets ? (TT March04 p12-14)

The current credit market environment provides an opportunity for corporate issuers to achieve the most attractive credit funding levels in recent history and yet we have the smallest corporate pipeline we have seen for months. Why are we not seeing a wave of borrowing to take advantage of low interest rates ahead of the wellflagged interest rate hikes already in the market? This will be a question that haunts many a corporate financier throughout 2004.
