MCT Advanced Diploma – direct entry
Entry onto the MCT Advanced Diploma programme normally requires completion of the AMCT Diploma in Treasury. However, the ACT allows direct enrolment onto the MCT Advanced Diploma for holders of selected qualifications, or for those who have experience in a senior treasury or finance position.
Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers' Graduate Certificate in Corporate Treasury
The ACT allows automatic direct entry onto the MCT Advanced Diploma qualification for holders of the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers' Graduate Certificate in Corporate Treasury.
If you are eligible for direct entry to MCT Advanced Diploma in Treasury via this route, complete the online MCT Enrolment Form and tick the relevant box.
You will also need to submit proof that you are eligible for automatic direct entry on to MCT Advanced Diploma. Once you have submitted the MCT Enrolment Form, post a copy of your IACT Graduate Certificate in Corporate Treasury to:

Sheffield Hallam University
The ACT and Sheffield Hallam University have developed a unique working partnership for students wishing to work in treasury and risk management.
Candidates who hold the Sheffield Hallam University MA in Banking and Finance or MA in Risk Management and who have suitable experience in a senior treasury or finance position can enrol directly onto MCT. The ACT will determine whether the professional experience of the candidate is appropriate. Candidates should apply to the ACT in writing, with proof of their Sheffield Hallam University qualification.
From September 2011, as part of the International Treasury Management module in the Sheffield Hallam University MSc Finance programme, students will also study material leading to the ACT’s Certificate in International Treasury Management (CertITM). Successful CertITM candidates will be eligible for direct enrolment onto the MCT Advanced Diploma, subject to applicants having suitable work experience. Candidates should apply to the ACT in writing, with proof of their registration on the relevant programme with Sheffield Hallam University.
Experience route for senior finance professionals
Senior finance professionals who hold a combination of high-level professional qualifications and experience in a senior treasury or finance position may apply for direct enrolment onto the MCT Advanced Diploma.
Applicants will have a significant track record in decision-making and demonstrable skills in relevant areas such as corporate finance and/or risk management. We encourage applications from senior professionals who can demonstrate that their existing qualifications and experience are equivalent to the AMCT Diploma in Treasury, and who are keen to benefit from the depth and coverage of the MCT Advanced Diploma qualification.
To apply for direct enrolment on to the MCT Advanced Diploma via the experience route, complete the MCT Direct Entry Application Form below and post a copy to:
