Mark qualified with Spicers (now part of Deloitte) and went on to work for Thomas Cook Foreign Money, London Life and other financial services companies before spending time in Australia as both an accountant and an academic. Tony is part of FME Training / FME Learn Online and is AMCT, FCA and MA qualified and a CFA Charterholder; he has been delivering ACT courses for 10 years and been in professional training for 25 years. After qualifying with BDO Binder Hamlyn, Tony spent some years overseas working with international reinsurance before joining a professional exam training company in the UK. He was made a director at ATC in 1993 and has worked with, amongst others, BPP, Kaplan and 7City to design and deliver exam courses at all levels for ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, AAT, CFA, and CISI Diplomas in PCIAM and Corporate Finance, as well as numerous non-exam finance based courses.
Richard is part of FME Training / FME Learn Online and is AMCT, ACA and PGCE qualified. He spent some of his professional career in Bermuda with PwC, where he was heavily involved in audits in the financial sector, before returning to the UK and embarking on a career in training. Richard has extensive experience in exam based training, having trained IMC, CFA, CIMA, ACCA and ICAEW, and non exam based training. More recently he has had extensive experience delivering innovative active learning online via webinar.

Ian has over 20 years experience of designing and teaching financial training programmes. In his early career he was a production manager before gaining an MBA from Manchester Business School. It was then that he became interested in finance, especially treasury. Since then he has been involved in designing and teaching on training programmes in finance, his experience covers teaching practitioners in Europe, the US and Asia. He has been involved with the ACT’s exam process since the beginning. Until 2002 he was responsible for the Advanced Funding and Risk Management exam of the MCT and more recently he has been examiner for the Certificate in Financial Maths and Modelling. For the ACT he has taught on several training courses, sometimes together with Mike Northeast, and teaches the tuition course for CertFMM.
Michèle Allman-Ward is the Managing Partner of AWA Consulting, Inc., a company specialising in strategic planning, business unit development, training, project management and market research with particular emphasis on international treasury management.
Michèle qualified as a CertICM in 1999 with a distinction. She now works closely with the ACT and is the lead trainer for the CertICM qualification.With over twenty years of banking and consulting experience, Michèle is an internationally respected expert on cash management, and brings valuable depth and understanding to the course content. She is highly regarded in the cash management industry, is a frequent featured speaker at conferences and author or many books including ‘The Essentials of Managing Corporate Cash’ and ‘A Treasurer's Guide to International Cash Management.’ Her banking experience includes senior positions with JPMorgan, Bankers Trust, Bank of Boston, First Interstate and Wells Fargo.
Anthony Birts is Director of Studies for the BSc Accounting and Finance degree and a Senior Teaching Fellow in Finance at the School of Management, University of Bath. Prior to joining the University, Anthony was a Vice President at Bank of America NT and SA in Global Treasury Services. As well as lecturing at Bath and helping to develop the CertICM course, Anthony is a Visiting Lecturer at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam and has published a number of articles in the areas of finance and cash management.
Jason Mannell is CEO of Nulgarra Training Pte Ltd - a Singapore based company focused on delivering sales and cash management training and consultancy to financial institutions with particular focus on the Asia Pacific region. Jason worked with a number of international banks for 25 years before starting his own training company in 2010. Jason's experience in working in the financial sector in Asia since 1999 gives him the ability to bring practical experience to the courses he delivers.
D.J. Masson, Ph.D., is President of The Treasury Academy, a training and consulting firm specializing in treasury management, international finance, business forecasting, and risk management. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Masson has provided business and financial consulting and training services to a wide variety of corporations, financial institutions, and not-for-profit organizations in the U.S., Canada, and abroad. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Finance at Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business and is a trainer and curriculum developer for programs with Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), GT News and Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) in the U.K, and Citibank’s Global Transactions Services unit. D.J. also earned the Cert ICM, an international cash management certification, from the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) in the UK in 1999.

Kerry started his career at Price Waterhouse in the early 80s before moving into the corporate world. Several planning and financial control roles later he arrived in treasury and completed the MCT Diploma in 1993, so can empathise with some of the trials and tribulations that students face whilst holding down a full time day job. His treasury experience is mainly in the LBO sector. He was the CFO at Ineos, the petrochemical conglomerate, where he arranged the initial buyout finance and subsequently worked on several major acquisitions including Lucite International, the European Vinyls Corporation and Degussa’s (now Evonik) Phenolchemie business. Kerry is a mathematics graduate, Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer and holds a Postgraduate Certificate of Education.

Mike has spent the majority of his career in commercial Treasury, having experience in several sectors, holding senior Treasury roles in Rothmans International (FMCG), Rover Group, BAe Systems (Engineering & Defence), DSG International (Retail), and Kuwait Petroleum (Oil & Gas). He has also been a Board Finance Director (at Kuwait Petroleum and based in the Netherlands), and in this position, in addition to the usual Finance functions, was also responsible for both Purchasing and MIS for this Benelux wide downstream Oil Company. In 2003 he set up Gairloch Consulting, an independent corporate advisory consultancy and within which he has undertaken assignments for clients in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. A past chairman of the ACT, Mike has also recently been the Deputy Chairman and Treasurer of Age Concern England and an Independent member of ACCA’s Governance Committee. For MCT, Mike chairs the Board of Studies as well as being a tutor. He is also Trustee and Treasurer of the Institute for Business Ethics and has recognised teacher status at Cranfield University where he has lectured on both MBA and MSc courses.

I combine my role as online tutor for MCT with the responsibility for Treasury at the London Stock Exchange Group plc; both undertakings having occupied my time for the past 5 years or so. Prior to this I held senior financial roles in the retail sector with Woolworths Group plc, in business services with Regus Group plc and various treasury and financial roles with Xerox Corp. In addition, I have experience gained in the oil and construction sectors. I am a business graduate and a qualified accountant - a Fellow of both the ACT and CIMA.

Jonathan Jeffery works as a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Sheffield University teaching a range of undergraduate and post graduate finance modules. Jonathan holds guest lecturing posts at Nottingham University leading the MSC Corporate risk module and also is a visiting lecturer at EDHEC business school, which is one of the top 25 European business schools.
Jonathan is the lead examiner for the MCT project and also works with other major professional bodies such as the IFS where he jointly leads the Risk Financing and Management module.
