The role of the treasurer in enterprise risk management

 This study has focused on the role of the treasurer in the design and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management solutions. It shows how treasurers have increasingly broadened the scope of their responsibilities, notably in the pensions and insurance areas. Although the appetite is there, the study found less evidence of treasurers being heavily engaged in the ERM initiatives of their organisations. It is clear that treasurers can add significant value by deploying their skills-set more widely – however, there is still much work to do to maximise the opportunity. The research demonstrates that this is the time for the treasurers to define their role in the implementation of value-added ERM solutions. We hope you find the report a thought provoking read.
