The Treasurer’s Awards 2007 – Deals of the Year and Treasury Team of the Year

2007 marked the tenth anniversary of the prestigious Deals of the Year Awards organised by The Treasurer magazine. The awards celebrate the achievements of the corporate treasurer in successfully accessing the debt and equity markets on behalf of their company. To celebrate 10 years of these awards, a new award was launched for the Treasury Team of the Year.
Winners The overall Deal of the Year Award went to Rexam plc, represented by Group Treasurer Jon Drown for its hybrid bond, the first from a UK corporate. Vodafone, represented by Gerry Bacon, Group Treasurer, took the inaugural title of Treasury Team of the Year.

The awards ceremony was held at Drapers’ Hall in London at an exclusive dinner attended by attended by over 100 treasurers and finance directors from leading FTSE and European companies.
