Our Approach to Training

Why take a short course with the ACT?

As the leading examining body for international treasury, we are in a unique position to understand the needs of the corporate treasury community in its widest sense and have the expertise to support those working in or with the industry.

ACT training is designed to meet the needs of all finance professionals so new entrants and seasoned practitioners alike will find something of interest within the programme.

A commitment to quality

We work closely with employers and trainers to ensure the highest standards. Courses are offered throughout the spectrum of treasury activity and provide theoretical and practical understanding in key treasury areas. We use a mixture of case studies, worked examples and breakout groups to enable the rapid application of newly learned skills to the workplace.

Fully updated content

Our courses are updated annually and revisions made based on participant feedback, membership needs and CPD requirements. In addition to this, our Policy & Technical team, as well as an independent panel of treasury and finance experts, constantly monitors changing market conditions to ensure they are reflected in course content.

Expert trainers

All of our trainers are experts in their field and are not only experienced lecturers, but have each worked in the industry for many years, bringing practical insight, gained first hand to each session.

Practical understanding of key areas

Practical application is at the heart of what we do and our trainers provide opportunity to discuss any specific challenges participants are facing in their role, whilst equipping them with the skills they need to work efficiently and effectively as soon as they return to the office.

Full course documentation

Participants receive course materials which can be taken away and used as a reference source following completion of the course.

Networking opportunities

All courses encourage interaction and group participation, providing ample opportunity for participants to share experiences and discuss ideas with colleagues working in related areas.
