We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the online platform ahead of the ACT Annual Conference in addition to reviewing our Conference Planner for step by step support. Please also watch the short demo video for some useful hints and tips to help you fully utilise the platform.

Q: What will the ACT Annual Conference look like this year? 
A: The ACT Annual Conference will combine live and on-demand content with exhibition stands and networking opportunities. The event will be hosted on Engagez – an online event platform with great functionality.  The platform will stay open for 30 days after the event, for you to continue to view the On-Demand content, download sponsor resources and network.

Q: What web browser should I use? 
A: Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Please note that the event platform does not support Internet Explorer.

Q: What happens if I can’t access the platform, are there any easy suggested trouble shoots?
A: Please make sure you are accessing the platform outside your work remote desktop or work VPN..  If you continue to have difficulty, please email events@treasurers.org

Q: Can I access the platform on my smartphone?
A: Yes but it is recommended that you use desktop, laptop or tablet for the full experience.

Q: Will I stay logged in/ on if I close my browser (on my phone or desktop)
A: No for security, you can only access the ACT Annual Conference platform on one device at a time.

Q: What will happen when I enter the platform for the first time? 
A: You will enter your login details first then you will enter the lobby at the virtual event where you will be able to play a video that will explain how you navigate around the conference.

Q: Will I be able to contact anyone if I am having issues with the platform? 
A: Yes, the platform has live support available throughout the event in the bottom right-hand corner of the page. 

Q: If I miss a session will it be available to view on demand? 
A; Yes, all sessions will be available on-demand by the end of the day it took place and also for 30 days after the live event.

Q: Will I be able to network with other delegates like at a normal ACT conference? 
A:  Yes, there are several networking opportunities utilising direct messaging, discussion boards, video call and the ability to arrange meetings with other delegates and exhibitors.

Q: How will I know when a live session is about to start?
A: The conference agenda is on display in the lobby and conference hall (by day). You can also filter the agenda to find sessions across the entire event according to topic. When a session has started a ‘Live’ button will flash next to listed item in the agenda.

Q: How do I create my own agenda/ favourite sessions that I would like to join?
A: You can save sessions to your Google, iCal or Outlook calendar or follow specific presentations by clicking on the star symbol which appears with each ‘session’. These are then saved in your profile at the top right-hand corner of your screen under ‘following’. 

Q: How do I arrange meetings on the platform?  
A:  From the attendee list in the Exhibition & Networking hall you can click on another attendee’s profile where there is an option to arrange a meeting. You can also click on the tab at the top of your screen labelled ‘Who’s online’ and again click on their profile which enables you to also arrange a meeting. You can also arrange meetings on all exhibition stands. On each exhibition stands there is a panel on display that enables you to click on a member of staff working on the stand to arrange a meeting.

Q: During the event is the platform ‘open’ 24 hours?
A: Yes, the platform is accessible 24/7 but exhibition stands will only be staffed during business hours.

Q: Will I be able to access the platform once the event is over?
A:  Yes, the ACT Annual Conference platform will be available on-demand for 30 days after the live event.

Q: Will I have access to the delegate list?
A: All attendees will be able to see who is registered through the attendee list in the Exhibition & Networking hall. You will be able to message other attendees within this area while the platform is open.

Q: Can I arrange meetings before the event starts?
A: Yes, you can send through a meeting request to any attendee as listed in the attendee list. 
 
Q: Can on-demand videos be downloaded?
A: No, but they will be available on the events platform for 30 days after the event.
