The programme for this event was developed in consultation with our regional Advisory Panel.

The ACT Treasury Network Middle East Advisory Panel was developed to provide on the ground intelligence and guidance and ensure the ACT is supporting the local needs of the treasury and finance community. The panel consists of treasury professionals from some of the largest and most influential organisations across the GCC and helps drive the high-quality and impartial content the ACT Middle East Treasury Summit is known for in the region.

Featured keynote speaker from the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment

Qais Bader Al Suwaidi, Assistant Expert, presented on the social and financial risks, and opportunities from climate change. He explored the impact of climate change on business and financial market practices, as well as social behaviour. Questions raised: Why has managing climate risks become an imperative for all? With sustainability being a key pillar of the UAE's National Agenda 2021, how is the Middle East region shifting to a sustainable future?

I am looking forward to re-connecting with my peers at the virtual ACT Middle East Treasury Summit on 9 and 10 November. As well as all the wonderful networking opportunities, the key benefit of the conference, as ever, will be access to a range of expert insights through a mixture of live-streamed and pre-recorded content, providing both a regional focus and a global perspective on issues shaping the treasury landscape in the Middle East. I hope you will be able to join me at this exciting event.
