The Greater London Authority (GLA) is looking to recruit a Trainee Group Treasury Officer and Analyst to its Group Treasury Services Team. The Team provides treasury management services to the GLA and other members of the Mayoral family including LFEPA, LLDC, MOPAC and the LPFA.

Trainee opportunities have arisen in the team and are ideal for individuals who wish to pursue a career within treasury management. We will provide full support for your developing career through mentoring by our experienced team and a generous study package leading to the Association of Corporate Treasurers - Diploma in Treasury Management, with incremental reward for your progress.

You will need experience of basic financial mathematics including calculating weighted averages and discounting, an understanding of basic statistical methods, some experience of statistical analysis and experience of financial reconciliations.

You will be a core part of the operations section of team, headed by the Chief Investment Officer. Duties will include the full range of market operations, placing investments, negotiating loans, advising and reporting to our clients and modelling the group cash flows to inform strategy. In addition to our core activity of portfolio management, we advise on all aspects of capital finance and credit risk management and deliver the financing for some of the highest profile infrastructure projects in the Capital, such as Crossrail, the Northern Line extension, Housing Zones and Housing Bank.
