Michael Page Treasury are working with a growing FTSE100 business, who are looking for a new Assistant Treasurer.

Our client posted revenues in excess of £7bn last year, with over 16,000 employees worldwide.

Role description

  • IFRS statutory reporting at the year end and half year for the treasury related disclosures in the group financial statements
  • Implement and monitor the development of new treasury related accounting standards as required
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for the treasury company and monthly management accounts for all treasury transactions using IT2, the treasury management system ("TMS")
  • Preparation of related monthly forecasts and annual budgets
  • Account for and manage group debt and interest
  • Responsibility for maintaining the TMS and increasing STP to improve departmental efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with hedge accounting requirements, covenants in credit facilities/US Private Placements ("USPPs") and EMIR reporting
  • Manage CVA/DVA methodology and calculations
  • Analyse and provide advice to operating companies on FX gains/losses on group debt, and FX exposures
  • Preparation of monthly treasury reporting pack to senior management
  • Assist with internal Group refinancing and related FX exposures
  • Support the Group Treasurer where required including managing banking relationships, refinancing of bank credit facilities and USPPs

Who we're looking for

  • Qualified accountant with technical skills in treasury accounting
  • Full working knowledge of the treasury accounting standards i.e. IAS32, IAS39 and IFRS9
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet modelling
  • Advanced knowledge of TMS, ideally IT2
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Takes ownership of tasks and completes on time to a high standard
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaison with finance personnel in operating companies and contacts at the Group’s banks
  • Confidence in working with people at all levels of the organisation, from junior accountants to Group Finance Director
  • Inquisitive and analytical with mindset to ask and challenge
  • Team player
