Michael Page Treasury are recruiting for a Senior Treasury Analyst to join a world leading FTSE10 business who having recently relocated their offices to Cambridge.

The current treasury team is made up of 12 employees who support the group on all treasury matters. Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer - Operations, the role requires a good understanding of treasury operational procedures and a proactive approach to ensure that the treasury function continues to effectively support the wider business.

Detailed job description

The Senior Treasury Analyst will play a key role across all treasury operational activities, ensuring that key processes are well managed. You will have direct responsibility for managing the group’s netting centre. You will work closely with the Treasury Analyst, providing support and guidance on day to day activities.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and execute daily trade confirmations and payments
  • Manage the structure and maximise efficiency of the global cash pooling arrangements
  • Manage the opening and closing of global bank accounts through our inhouse electronic system
  • Maintain master data in the treasury management system
  • Daily monitoring of key treasury activities to ensure compliance with policy/limits
  • Manage daily collateral with counterparty banks
  • Manage the netting centre, ensuring efficient inter-company reconciliation and settlement
  • Monthly reporting and analysis, particularly FX transactional results
  • System administration for the treasury management system
  • Ensuring SOX compliance and report performance against a dashboard of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement/automation
  • Provide business support to the Assistant Treasurer Operations on adhoc projects and initiatives
  • Maintain all inter-company facilities associated with running an in-house, centralised treasury operation

Candidate's profile

To be considered for the Senior Treasury Analyst position you require:

  • Qualified to degree level with professional qualification desirable e.g ACT, CIMA
  • Proven experience of working in an international Treasury (or shared service function), with a focus on and a strong vision of best practice for Treasury operational procedures/controls and treasury management systems
  • A mindset of continuous improvement and the energy and ability to deliver the ideas
  • Demonstrable ability to proactively challenge status quo, to initiate and deliver change in order to improve processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster working relationships internally and with our external advisors and counterparties
  • Demonstrates professional integrity, sets high personal standards and takes responsibility for delivering top-class service to the business
  • Focus on delivery and able to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
