Interim Senior Treasury Manager

FTC £85,000

An Interim Treasury professional is required for an Investment Management organisation in London.


Role Summary:

  • With the assistance of Business Services manage the upgrade and enhancement of the TMS within budget and resource constraints.
  • Develop the testing plans for both phases.
  • Complete the necessary testing and rollout of the upgrade within an agreed timeline.
  • Complete the necessary set-up, testing, rollout and documentation of the enhancements and best-in-class processes, including
    • Bank account interfacing and reconciliation,
    • Trade settlements straight-through-processing, and
    • Automation of FX accounting.
  • With the assistance of the Treasurer develop the necessary treasury controls for the TMS.
  • Create a procedures manual for all TMS processes.
  • Revisit the Treasury reporting and develop appropriate reports and dashboards.
  • Work with the wider finance team to assist in the processing of payments, opening of bank accounts and other various treasury related issues, as needed.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of foreign exchange and cash management. Experience of emerging markets would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Treasury function.
  • Experience of successful Treasury Management System implementations.
  • Experience of process review, design and implementation of best-in-class processes.
  • Qualified accountant; an additional treasury qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Very strong systems skills and an analytical mind.
  • Proactively identify and address issues.
  • A flexible team player.
  • The ability to take the initiative, to enjoy new challenges and see tasks through to completion.
  • Experience of Salmon Software, and Straight2Bank is preferable.

The ideal candidate will have successfully completed the Associate Membership of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (AMCT); or be a qualified accountant.
