Michael Page Treasury is working with a leading listed UK brand, who are looking for a new Deputy Treasurer to support the Group Treasurer on all debt funding activities and lead the development of treasury operations for the group.
Role description
- Play a supporting role in the execution of debt capital markets transactions, managing professional advisers, reviewing documentation, assisting in the due diligence process which will involve cross department collaboration, updating financial analysis, reporting to senior management and assisting the deal team in managing negotiations.
- Oversee the operational day-to-day Group cash and debt management
- Provide support on operations as required – specifically be familiar with dealing procedures and daily operational practices
- Develop risk management strategies for the group and specific transactions. Lead the execution of all derivative transactions. Make recommendations to modify derivative positions as business plan and/or market data changes
- Take a lead role in negotiation and execution of new uncommitted and secured facilities where required
- Evaluate alternative funding sources– obtaining necessary approvals and implement solutions as appropriate
- Assist with the management of the rating surveillance process, providing a key point of contact for all ratings queries during the year, communicating new information and macro-economic impacts, understanding changes in rating methodology, to assist in maintaining a stable rating
- Provide support for any debt investor queries or roadshows, as required
- Supporting the Treasurer in managing bank relationships
- Be the senior internal contact for the Treasury Back Office and Group Reporting, reviewing Treasury-related reporting and disclosures
- Ensure compliance with all debt covenants and associated filings/listings, including the annual Base Prospectus update
- Manage a small team of treasury professionals.
Who we're looking for
- AMCT essential, MCT preferable
- Accountancy experience/qualification advantageous (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- 10+yrs strong operational treasury experience, plus additional Funding/Corporate Finance experience, with particular focus on structured or secured debt
- Line management experience
