Workcare provides chaplaincy services to industry and commerce supporting employees in work, and persons affected by redundancy and unemployment through its Job Clubs.
Role purpose: efficient management of financial activity, regulatory and statutory compliance and support to the Board of Trustees of Workcare
Currently management accounts and auditing are provided by Dafferns Accountants.
Accountable to: Chair of the Board of Trustees
Financial management
Maintenance of full records of all financial activity
Attendance online (minimum quarterly, ideally bi-monthly) at Steering and Board meetings to report on accounts
Preparation of Annual Accounts for, and attendance at, the Annual General Meeting
Annual payments: insurance, internet, member of organisations
Updating Xero on a monthly basis
Banking
• Payment of Expenses
• Payment of Invoices
• Administration of HSBC Bank Account (2 Trustees are co-signatories and have online access)
• Disbursement of receipts of money to partner service providers.
Payroll
• Salary, tax, NI and HEBA pension payments and P60 for staff (one). Payments to HMRC.
Charity Commission
• Preparation of Trustees Annual Report and Accounts
• Maintenance of Trustee register
Hours required approximately
4½ - 5 hrs per month for 6 months
2-2½ for 6 months
