CPD Accredited Employers

Supporting Professional Development Across Treasury

The ACT CPD Accredited Employer scheme recognises organisations that are committed to the ongoing professional development of their employees and looks at how your organisation supports their learning and development.

If you are interested in becoming accredited or want to find out whether CPD Employer Accreditation is right for your organisation, please email the Membership Team to find out more.

Accreditation focuses on three key areas:

Development and Performance

Your development programme and performance review process.

Supporting Employee Goals

How you help employees identify and achieve their professional development goals.

Learning Resources and Communication

What development resources are available and how employees are made aware of them.

How Does CPD Employer Accreditation Work?

To become accredited, your organisation should have AMCT and/or FCT members, and your organisation should demonstrate:

  • clear commitment to professional development that is linked to organisational strategy and embedded within your culture

  • a comprehensive employee review process

  • a system for identifying and delivering training and development needs

  • access to appropriate ethical support and guidance, including whistleblowing arrangements.

There is a short questionnaire to complete, and we’ll ask about any further support you need from us to ensure our members’ development needs are met. We may ask for some documentation to show how your systems work.

Once your organisation is accredited, eligible AMCT and FCT members can make their annual CPD declaration through the employer route, meaning they’ll simply need to confirm each year that they are still employed by the accredited organisation and will not be selected to submit an individual CPD record.

Accreditation is renewable every three years.
