Frequently Asked Questions

You may have some questions about the ACT's MicroCredentials. We’ve listed some common questions below, but if you can’t see what you were looking for, please get in touch with our Education team at educationsales@treasurers.org.

What is a MicroCredential?

Focused, bite-size learning covering a key skill or knowledge area in treasury or cash management.

How are MicroCredentials different from full qualifications?

They are shorter and more focused, but based on the same trusted ACT content. They allow you to take control over your own learning by building towards a qualification over time or upskilling in a specific area of treasury.

How can an ACT MicroCredential help my career in treasury?

Learn practical, job-ready skills you can immediately apply in your day-to-day work and demonstrate your commitment to professional development to employers.

Can I tailor my MicroCredential to match my career goals?

Absolutely. Choose MicroTopics that align with your current role or future ambitions, whether that's risk management, liquidity, treasury operations, or corporate finance.

I've already been working in treasury for a few years, are MicroCredentials still relevant?

Yes. MicroCredentials are perfect for refreshing your skills, deepening expertise in new areas, and staying ahead in a rapidly evolving treasury and cash management environment.

Do ACT MicroCredentials count towards CPD requirements?

If you are an ACT Associate Member or Fellow, MicroCredentials can contribute towards your annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.

How are MicroCredentials recognised by employers?

Each MicroTopic demonstrates technical competence and practical knowledge, building your credibility and professional profile within the treasury community.

Can I purchase multiple MicroCredentials?

Yes. Add the MicroCredentials you need to your basket along with an extended student licence (6 or 12 months). Our education team will help you plan your study order so you can work through the Certificate in Treasury or Certificate in International Cash Management with confidence. One payment means the admin is taken care of, leaving you free to focus on studying.
