Setting Professional Standards Through the ACT's Qualifications Pathway
The economy depends on strong financial markets which, in turn, need skilled and trained people to manage the cash and risks that will ultimately drive growth in international trade.
ACT qualifications equip treasury professionals with the practical knowledge and technical expertise to meet these challenges.
Underpinned by the ACT Competency Framework, they provide a recognised pathway from foundational knowledge to advanced treasury expertise, setting the professional benchmark for treasury.
Treasury Qualifications
Progress your treasury career through a structured learning pathway. From the Certificate in Treasury Fundamentals to the Diploma in Treasury Management, each stage develops the practical skills, technical knowledge and professional confidence needed to progress your career.
Are You an Accountant?
Qualified accountants can broaden their financial skillset and explore new career opportunities by adding treasury expertise. Combining treasury and accountancy knowledge can help you stand out and play a bigger role in shaping your organisation’s financial strategy.
If you are ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or ICAS qualified — or a reciprocal member of one of these bodies* — you may be eligible for exemptions, including a full free-of-charge exemption from the Certificate in Treasury Fundamentals. With further exemptions at higher levels, you could study just 3 units instead of 12 and complete 3 assessments instead of 9 on the pathway to the Diploma in Treasury Management.
Cash Qualifications
Strong cash management knowledge helps professionals make better decisions around liquidity, risk, banking relationships, and financial resilience. For bankers, it can also support more informed client conversations and a deeper understanding of how treasury teams operate in practice.
