Giving Back to Our Community
From supporting our Charity of the Year to helping people access treasury education through the ACT Educational Trust, we work with our community to make a difference.
Charity of the Year
Each year, the ACT selects a charity to support through fundraising and activities across the ACT community. Our main fundraising takes place at the ACT Annual Dinner, alongside other opportunities to support our chosen charity throughout the year.
City Harvest
Our Charity of the Year is City Harvest, a London-based food charity that rescues nutritious surplus food and delivers it, free of charge, to organisations supporting people facing food poverty.
Established in 2014, City Harvest now provides food for more than 1.2 million meals every month. Its deliveries support food banks, homeless shelters, community kitchens, schools, family centres, domestic abuse refugees, and many other organisations across London.
By redistributing food that would otherwise go to waste, City Harvest also helps reduce the environmental impact of food waste.
The ACT Educational Trust
The ACT Educational Trust is a charity that promotes the treasury profession through education and support. In 2005 the Trust launched a bursary scheme, enabling students across the world to fund their studies.
Bursaries provide financial support towards access to learning materials, online assessment, and student membership with access to mentoring, career transition, and job search support.
