Becoming a CPD accredited employer has a number of great benefits, including:

Organisation-wide accreditation for all AMCT and FCT members meaning less pressure on employees to adhere to our CPD scheme, as well as their organisation’s development programme. Once you’re accredited, all AMCT and FCT members you employ will be covered – irrespective of job title, department or location.
Recognition that you’re committed to your employees’ professional development, through the use of the ACT CPD accreditation marque and your organisation listed as an Accredited Employer on our website.
5% discount on all ACT qualification and online courses (this cannot be used retrospectively or in conjunction with other offers, and does not include discounts on tuition, exemptions or assessments). You will need a code to receive this discount - please contact cpd@treasurers.org for this code.
Recruitment advertising - 25% discount on any recruitment adverts on the ACT website, this is for adverts placed directly and not via an agency.
ACT training solutions - CPD accredited employers receive the membership rate for all public training courses.

How does our CPD accredited employer scheme work?

The ACT accredited employer scheme is designed to recognise an organistions commitment to the professional development of their employees. The scheme requires an Accredited Employer to have:

A clear commitment to the professional development of employees linked to the organisational strategy and embedded in the organisation’s culture
A comprehensive review system
A system for assessing and delivering training and development needs
The opportunity to provide ethical support and guidance – including any whistle-blowing policy

Once accredited, any Associate and Fellow members within an accredited organisation can make their annual CPD declaration via the employer route, meaning they just need to confirm they are still employed by the organisation each year, and are then excluded from being selected for a record submission.

What's the process?

The process to become a CPD accredited employer is straightforward. The accreditation looks at how your company supports its employees focusing on:

1. Your development programme and performance review process

2. How you help employees achieve their goals

3. What resources are available to your employees and how are these communicated

There is a short questionnaire to complete and we’ll ask about any further support you think you’ll need from us to ensure our members’ development needs are met. We may ask for some documentation to show how your systems work. Accreditation is renewable every three years.
