Despite persistent economic challenges and regional conflict, treasury teams across the Middle East delivered achievements. Those were applauded at the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) Middle East Treasury Awards 2026.
Announced at the 18th the ACT Middle East Treasury Summit, the awards recognise excellence and innovation in treasury across the region, and show just how far the profession has come since the first awards.
The awards are judged by a panel of senior treasurers from across the region, including representatives of Agility and Majid Al Futtaim, many of them former winners.
Judges said the quality and breadth of innovation in this year's entries reflected the growing sophistication of treasury in the region. They also praised the effort many entrants had made to include testimonials, which considerably strengthened their nominations.
Across categories covering deals, treasury operations, projects, individuals and teams, a few entries stood out.
ADNOC took two awards, Capital Raising (Bonds/Loans) and Sustainability, for a US$11bn structured financing that the panel praised for its scale, structural innovation and flawless execution.
Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), winner of the Treasury Transformation award, made its new global treasury centre in Abu Dhabi Global Market fully operational in three months against a typical nine, even as regional conflict curtailed production.
EDGE Group's working capital architecture was the panel's unanimous first choice for the Working Capital Solutions award.
The Treasury Icon award, new this year and given for a distinguished career, went to James Adams, group treasurer of AW Rostamani Group.
