A huge shout out for all of you who have supported the ACT during 2016. You have all really made the difference. Thank you.
Believe me you needn’t have tried so hard to create the political and economic conditions that reminds everyone just why they need an ACT qualified treasurer in their midst to make sense of what lies ahead of us and thus deliver an honest crust for your business.
Naturally I’m thrilled to report that the ACT team has done all it can to give you the very best support. It’s a startling statistic, but I can confidently say that during the whole of 2016, by lunchtime, every working day we trained the average sized corporate treasury team. Every hour of every working day a treasurer in one of ninety countries took one of our exam assessments - hopefully to pass, make the grade and to one day to become an ACT qualified corporate treasurer. Of course that’s if we could drag you away from reading The Treasurer or attending our award winning global networking events or just keeping you informed at your desk via our technical papers, webinars, podcasts, via our LinkedIn groups or Twitter posts, careers portal or even via one of our experienced treasury mentors.
Surely what more would you want from your Chartered body representing the global treasury profession? Well in fact the frank answer is a whole lot more. I am therefore absolutely delighted to pass the 2017 baton on to the new, post-Christmas spirit refreshed ACT team in the New Year. Ria Robinson is taking over as ACT Interim Chief Executive. There is no better person to set the ball rolling. Thank you for all your continuing support.
We wish you and your loved ones an enjoyable festive break. We also remember all those we lost this year. You will always be in our thoughts and memories.
