Lead your profession

With your Chartered association behind you, Fellowship enables you to leverage your experience into board-level roles within your organisation, and raise the profile of treasurers both at home and internationally.

Fellowship represents the pinnacle of ACT membership and illustrates your commitment, your extensive expertise in financial and treasury fields, and your contribution to the treasury profession. It is open to anyone who has passed our Advanced Diploma in Treasury Management or any previous equivalent qualifications (e.g. MCT Advanced Diploma), and to experienced Associate Members with at least 5 years' treasury experience.

Honorary Fellowship

We also have a small number of Honorary Fellows. Honorary Fellowship is awarded to members of the treasury community who Council agree have demonstrated exception service to the ACT and/or the treasury profession.

Route for those who have completed the Advanced Diploma in Treasury 

The Membership team will contact you on successful completion of the Advanced Diploma in Treasury to arrange your upgrade to Fellowship. If you have already been an Associate Member and paid the upgrade fee at that point there is nothing further to pay unless you have an outstanding subscription. If you have come through the direct entry qualification route or did not take up Associate Membership and therefore did not pay the upgrade fee at that time you will need to pay the £145 upgrade fee at the point of application to Fellowship. If you have previously completed the Advanced Diploma in Treasury Management, or any previous equivalent qualifications, and would like to upgrade to Fellowship please contact membership@treasurers.org and the team will be happy to help. 

 

Route for experienced Associate Members 

Many of our Associate Members have continued to work in a treasury-related role since achieving the Diploma in Treasury Management ('AMCT qualification') and have further developed their skills and experience over a number of years. If you are an experienced Associate Member you can upgrade to Fellowship if you meet the following criteria:

  • You have been an Associate Member for five years or more
  • You have worked in a treasury-related role for a period of five years or more after successfully completing the Diploma in Treasury Management. This may have been achieved in a non-financial corporate, FI, consultancy and/or other relevant role/s
  • You have met and will continue to meet all the ACT's CPD requirements for members
  • You abide by the ACT's Ethical Code and have not been subject to any disciplinary action under the ACT's Disciplinary Rules
  • You continue to contribute to the treasury profession by supporting the ACT in its work to embed the highest professional standards in treasury.

There is a one-off upgrade fee of £171 to become a Fellow and use the designatory letters 'FCT'.
