TREASURY DEALS/PROJECTS OF THE YEAR

Treasury Management Award - Small/Medium and Large
Deals/projects covering cash management, working capital, trade finance, supply chain finance and systems implementations

Corporate Funding Award - Small/Medium and Large
Deals/projects covering all methods of capital raising and funding and M&A

 

Category description
This category considers noteworthy deals/projects on the basis of excellence in corporate treasury, as demonstrated by any or all of the following:

  • sound treasury/finance management
  • efficient pricing
  • optimal or innovative structure
  • relative success in prevailing market conditions
  • Judges consider all types of deal, whatever the size.

 

Entry requirements

  • The deal/project must involve a non-financial corporate organisation (not banks, financial institutions or government departments) and the treasury team must have played a significant role
  • All sizes of deal and company will be taken into consideration
  • To qualify the deal/project must have been executed by the treasury team/treasurer within the Middle East or Africa
  • You can nominate a corporate organisation or enter yourself
     

What are we looking for?

  • Why the deal/project was important to the organisation
  • Its fit into the overall strategy of the organisation
  • To what extent the team involved influenced the type of deal/project
  • Which other departments were impacted or involved in the deal
  • How relevant stakeholders were engaged
  • The complexity of the deal
  • Any innovative elements of the deal
  • What makes it stand out and why?

Data needed to support the entry: total amount of deal/project, summary of structure, tranches, pricing, coupon issue/re-offer, spread, shares, fees*.

*Please note: Details around the fees will be looked at loosely as part of the judging process, so please include as much information as you are able to. This will be used for the purposes of judging only and treated as confidential.

TREASURY TEAMS OF THE YEAR

Treasury Teams of the Year Awards - Small/Medium and Large

 

Category description
This category looks to identify corporate treasury teams that are highly regarded by peers and advisers.

You can nominate on the basis of either:

  • the broad achievements of the team across the main areas of treasury - cash management, corporate finance, risk management, treasury operations and corporate governance or
  • because of one or two specific achievements in any one of these areas

Entry requirements

  • Anyone in the treasury community can nominate a team in each category
  • The team must be based, or have its head office, in the Middle East region
  • You can nominate your own treasury team
  • You must declare if the team is your client

 

What we are looking for

  • Who was involved (the make-up of the treasury team)?
  • What were the broad achievements of the team?
  • The area(s) of treasury where the team make a real impact (cash management, corporate finance, risk management, treasury operations and corporate governance)
  • What makes the team stand out and why?
  • Were there any key team roles and how did the team work together?
TREASURY PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

Treasury Professional of the Year Awards - Public Sector and Private Sector

Category description
This category recognises individuals who are considered to have demonstrated excellence in treasury and made an outstanding contribution to their team, organisation or the profession.

 

Entry requirements

  • Anyone in the treasury community is entitled to nominate
  • All levels of entrants will be considered from all sizes of organisations
  • The individual must be based, or have their company’s head office, in the Middle East region
  • You can nominate yourself or someone in your own organisation
  • You must declare if the individual is your client

 

What we are looking for

  • What makes the individual stand out and why?
  • What standout technical skills and ability do they have, and where they have applied this?
  • Consistent performance or efforts in raising the profile of treasury practice in the region
  • Mention any particular area(s) of treasury where the individual has made a real impact (cash management, corporate finance, risk management, treasury operations and corporate governance)
  • Feedback from other team members and key stakeholders to support your entry
PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

Professional of the Year Awards - Financial Service Provider and Treasury Supplier

 

Category description
This category recognises individuals who are considered to have demonstrated excellence and made an outstanding contribution to their team, organisation or the profession.

In 2018, for the first time, the ACT recognised treasury service providers – those individual bankers, consultants, treasury suppliers, legal and recruitment specialists who have gone the extra mile for their corporate treasury clients.

 

Entry requirements

  • Anyone in the treasury community is entitled to nominate
  • All levels of entrants will be considered from all sizes of organisations
  • The individual must be based, or have their company’s head office, in the Middle East region
  • You can nominate yourself or someone in your own organisation

 

What we are looking for

  • What makes the individual stand out and why?
  • Discuss their standout technical skills and ability and where they have applied this
  • Consider where they have gone above and beyond expectations in supporting treasury teams
  • Mention any particular area(s) where the individual has made a real impact
  • Feedback from other team members and key stakeholders to support your entry
