Following on from December’s webinar introducing treasurers to LIBOR transition, our next LIBOR webinar took place on 2nd May in association with Clifford Chance. This webinar looked at the recent developments in this fast-moving area and provided the latest market insight on each of the main product areas that are relevant to treasurers. The webinar offered advice to treasurers as to some preparatory steps that can be taken in the near-term in readiness for the end of 2021 as well as explaining some of the key challenges that remain. It also provided treasurers with the tools to start to work through LIBOR transition on their own terms.

Sarah is the Associate Director of Policy and Technical at the ACT – tasked with ensuring that members are kept informed about latest market developments and that policymakers are supported in their understanding of the real economy, and corporate treasury matters in particular, as they work through their own agendas. Peter Dahlen, Partner, Clifford Chance Peter Dahlen is a Partner in the banking team in London. Peter specialises in investment grade finance, leveraged finance and restructuring work. He acts for corporate borrowers, financial sponsors as well as banks.

 

Paul Deakins, Partner, Clifford Chance

Paul Deakins is a Partner in the debt capital markets group in London, whose practice focuses on Eurobonds, convertible bonds, corporate hybrid securities and liability management. Paul is a member of the bond sub-group of the Sterling Working Group on Risk-Free Rates. Anne Drakeford, Partner, Clifford Chance Anne Drakeford is a Partner in the derivatives and financial regulation group in London, whose practice focuses on derivatives, structured finance, asset-backed securities and hedging aspects of securitisations, loan and bond financings.

 

Kwok Liu, Deputy Treasurer, Funding & Investment, National Grid

Kwok is the Deputy Treasurer, Funding & Investment for National Grid. He has group-wide responsibility for funding in a diverse range of markets, investment of surplus cash, and managing financial risk, particularly with derivatives. Kwok is a member of the Sterling Working Group on Risk-Free Rates.
