After seven years a move into the treasury arena beckoned, joining the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes (NAAFI) as a Treasury Assistant in their head office. The multitude of international operations provided plenty of new experiences, and through the next 11 years John progressed to Treasury Manager. Interim roles with TMD Friction in Germany, and Brakes in the UK followed, the latter leading to a permanent role with the private equity owned foodservice business in 2006.
