ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) is part and is of particular relevance to companies transacting in the financial markets, typically instruments such as derivatives or bond issues.
The ACT and other National Treasury Associations have come together through the EACT to submit a combined response. We have concentrated on the questions concerning the stakeholder involvement in ESMA. We believe that there is insufficient recognition given to the non-financial corporate users of the markets.
