Surjit Bhondi, a thirty-four year old Assistant Manager at Lloyds TSB was today announced as the 10,000th student to enrol on the ACT’s qualifications. Richard Raeburn, Chief Executive at the ACT said
Reaching 10,000 enrolments is a great achievement and shows just how important and relevant our qualifications are to those who work in treasury around the world. Richard Raeburn, Chief Executive at the ACT
The role of a treasurer and the remit of those who work in treasury has changed significantly since the ACT was founded 26 years ago. The role encompasses corporate finance, risk, liquidity management and even pensions and the ACT’s broad based qualification enables students to specialise in the areas most relevant to them. An increasing number of bankers and well as corporates are taking the ACT’s qualification – Surjit reflects this growing trend. Stephen East, Deputy President of the ACT and Group Finance Director at Woolworths strongly believes the ACT’s educational products can provide real benefits. He has worked in a number of different industries – in treasury and general finance roles - and is keen for others to gain from an ACT educational grounding.
The ACT strives to provide relevant, timely qualifications that will develop careers and provide support and assistance to all. All ACT members and students can be proud to have joined the Association of Corporate Treasurers and benefit from the opportunities that this brings. Stephen East, Deputy President of the ACT
