FAQs

We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the online platform ahead of the Annual Conference. If you do not find the answer to your question below, please email events@treasurers.org for support. Visit the user guides for step-by-step support.

Q: What will the ACT Annual Conference look like this year? 
A: With essential timely content, a fresh new format, and accessible from anywhere in the world, we’re excited to present the annual conference online for the first time. The ACT Annual Conference will combine live and on-demand content with exhibition stands and networking opportunities. The event will be hosted on Engagez – an online event platform with great functionality. 

Q: What web browser should I use? 
A: Chrome, Edge or Firefox. The events platform does not support Internet Explorer.

Q: How do I access the platform?
A: Firstly you need to register, where you will be able to set up a password for the platform. You will then get immediate access to the platform and receive a confirmation email saying you have registered. The second time you log on you can access via https://www.engagez.net/ACTAnnualConference. Please enter the email address you registered with and the password that you created when registering.

Q: What happens if I cant access the platform, are there any easy suggested trouble shoots?
A: Please make sure you are accessing the platform outside your work remote desktop or work vpn.

Q: Can I access the platform on my smartphone?
A: Yes but it is recommended that you use desktop, laptop or tablet for a better experience.

Q: Will I stay logged in/ on if I close my browser (on my phone or desktop)
A: No for security, you can only access the ACT Annual Conference platform on one device at a time.

Q: What will happen when I enter the platform for the first time? 
A: You will enter your login details first then you will enter the lobby at the virtual event where you will be able to play a video that will explain how you navigate around the conference.

Q: Will I be able to contact anyone if I am having issues with the platform? 
A: Yes, there will be helplines available for now please reach out to – events@treasurers.org 

Q: If I miss a session will it be available to view on demand? 
A; Yes, all sessions will be available on-demand for a month after the live event.

Q: Will I be able to network with other delegates like at a normal ACT conference? 
A:  Yes, there is a network area where you can message, video call or arrange meetings with other delegates and exhibitors – please click on the Networking page.

Q: How will I know when a live session is about to start?
A: You can save specific sessions to your Google, iCal or Outlook calendar by clicking on the save to your calendar option which is available on each session. You can access the agenda in the lobby or go into the Conference Hall which has the itinerary on display showing upcoming sessions. 

Q: How do I create my own agenda/ favourite sessions that I would like to join?
A: You can save sessions to your Google, iCal or Outlook calendar or follow specific presentations by clicking on the star symbol which appears with each ‘session’. These are then saved in your profile at the top right-hand corner of your screen under ‘following’. 

Q: How do I arrange meetings on the platform?  
A:  You can arrange meetings in the networking area as well as on all exhibition stands. On each exhibition stand there is a panel on display that enables you to click on each person working on the stand to arrange a meeting. In the networking area you can click on another delegate’s profile where there is an option to arrange a meeting. You can also click on the tab at the top of your screen labelled ‘Who’s online’ and again click on their profile which enables you to also arrange a meeting.

Q: During the event is the platform ‘open’ 24 hours?
A: Yes, the platform is accessible 24/7 but exhibition stands will only be staffed during business hours.

Q: Will I be able to access the platform once the event is over?
A:  Yes, the ACT Annual Conference platform will be available on-demand for one month after the live event.

Q: Will I have access to the delegate list?
A: All delegates will be able to see who is registered through the ACT Networking Lounge. You will be able to message other delegates within this area.

Q: Can I arrange meetings before the event starts?
A: Yes, you can send through a meeting request through the ACT Networking Lounge
 
Q: Can on demand and replay videos be downloaded?
A: The videos can’t be downloaded, but they will be available on the events platform for 30 days after the event, and subsequently on the ACT website.
