We are pleased to invite you to the next ACT Scotland Regional Group meeting on Blockchain - Theory, Practice and Applications for Treasurers.

Meeting Overview

Blockchain is one of the buzz words of the moment, with great claims made for its potentially revolutionary impact on all aspects of the economy, not to mention its role in underpinning various crypto economies (and currencies). There is, however, little general understanding of what blockchain represents and why (or if) it should be regarded as an inevitable part of the financial system. This session aims to demystify blockchain, explaining the principles which underpin it, exploring areas where it may have practical application and examining financial products of everyday relevance to Treasurers where it is already being deployed.
