Beware the creeping drought – maintaining liquidity in a hostile climate

Dramatic events are unfolding on the global stage – from the Brexit dilemma and EU political turmoil to continuing Middle East instability and China’s perceived slowdown.

Treasurers are increasingly aware of the need to become more dynamic than ever in their approach to managing liquidity and risk – juggling the impact of both internal and external factors and remaining agile in the face of unpredictable circumstances

This webinar tackled pressing liquidity and risk issues facing treasurers in 2016, including:

  • the increasing need for liquidity – searching further afield for yield
  • new rules demand new tools – the impact of regulatory change
  • secondary market liquidity – is the current market broken?
  • hitting new lows – negative short-term rates

Key issues discussed included:

  • getting fluid – evaluating your liquidity needs
  • a wider mix – options for accessing liquidity
  • avoiding the crunch and cost implications
  • the corporate experience – compare your strategies
