As a forex and interest rates derivatives dealer working with a private sector bank in India, my roles and responsibilities include treasury sales of financial institution group and corporate clients, relationship management, pricing and execution of OTC Forex and interest rate derivative deals, onboarding new clients, and assessment of forex and derivative limits for clients.
I was a computer science engineer working with one of the leading IT services companies. To improve my knowledge in the finance/capital markets domain, and after researching what was available, I applied and was selected for an educational initiative by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI - Market regulator). After I had successfully completed the ''Post Graduate Certificate in Securities Markets'' I moved to ICICI bank as a derivatives dealer.

Yes. Prior to taking the qualification, my understanding of treasury was only on forex and interest rates derivatives and some part of risk management. CertT helped me to get some basic understanding on overall corporate treasury, especially, cash and liquidity management.
