Every day brings something new in Treasury. Being able to take opportunities as financial markets move and as the business strategy develops and see this contribution through to the P&L is motivating and rewarding.

I believe you do best when you enjoy work and have clear goals. Understanding why you want to work in Treasury is key. Studying for qualifications is a great way to grow a career and being able to explain complex treasury matters in simple words is invaluable.
The Treasurer magazine and Webinars provided by the ACT are really valuable and fit in around work. Most of all, I know the ACT is available to support and provide insight when needed.
Fitbit. I should get a dog so I’m not alone on late walks to complete the last few steps of my target after a day in the office.
In the last two years I've been learning about insurance. I want to use the commercial and risk management skills gained in Treasury to deliver value across more parts of the business.
80/20 running. I was persuaded by the concept of training easier to run faster but the sting in the tail was finding out I had to run further!
