Council election 2024

We have two vacancies on Council for the term commencing 1 May 2024 and we invite nominations from members (Hon FCT, FCT and AMCT). 

Council is a vital part of our governance and it’s important that it consists of individuals with a breadth of perspective reflective of our global membership and society and with a varied mix of skills and experience. We therefore encourage members from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of their career to stand for this year’s Council election, including those at an earlier stage of their career or who may be based outside the UK.

The Council term is for three years although some Council members go on to become Officers of the ACT which extends the term for a further four years. Candidates should be open to the possibility of progressing to an Officer role.

I'm interested in standing for election to Council, what should I do?
  1. In the first instance, contact Ria Robinson, Director of Membership and Governance, to arrange a discussion about the election process, to meet with a current Council member and to find out more about what Council membership involves. This discussion is required for all members considering standing for election to Council. Please allow enough time for this meeting to take place ahead of the nomination form submission deadline of 26 February 2024. Contact Ria at rrobinson@treasurers.org.
  2. Read the Council Terms of Reference
  3. Read the Council Election Notice 2024 
  4. Complete the Nomination Form 2024 and return to Ria Robinson by Monday 26 February 2024. Your nomination will need to be supported by one other ACT member (Hon FCT, FCT or AMCT).
