Following on from what was quoted as a "success beyond the imagination of many," the ACT Annual Conference returned to our award-winning virtual platform on 14 - 17 June 2021.

Firmly established as the highlight of the treasury calendar, the event also incorporated our ground-breaking International Treasury Week and focused on key discussions around this year's theme - Accelerating strategic change: agility, influence, opportunity.

Over 2,000 treasury professionals from 59 countries, an increase of 28% in our global audience, enjoyed sessions from over 170 speakers delivering the outstanding thought leadership you have come to expect from the ACT. Platform features including the Exhibition and Networking halls with over 200 exhibitor resources, a new Discussion Zone area, and the return of the popular Time Out Zone.

Keynote speaker: Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England

Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, in conversation with Caroline Stockmann, Chief Executive of the ACT, in an afternoon keynote session that took place on Monday 14 June. As the economy recovers from the pandemic, Andrew shared his thoughts on a wide range of subjects including the post-COVID future.

Parag Khanna, leading global strategy advisor, world traveller, best-selling author and Founder & Managing Partner of FutureMap, a data and scenario based strategic advisory firm, gave an opening keynote discussing global trends and scenarios, systemic risks and technological disruption.

Keynote speaker: Professor Kevin Fong OBE

From the frontline: insights into the pandemic and wider experiences in NASA and the NHS. Learn about transferable skills for treasurers around risk, teamwork, planning, and making decisions under pressure, in this fast-paced keynote presentation. As an astrophysicist, medical specialist and natural storyteller, Kevin Fong OBE, shared his unique insights in this stimulating session on his experiences working with NASA, and as a National Clinical Advisor to NHS England during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Keynote speaker: Sarah Breeden, Executive Director, UK Deposit Takers Supervision, Bank of England

Accelerating strategic change: the climate change agenda and its implications for the sustainable finance revolution. This session gave insights on the roadmap to COP26 and the Bank of England's role towards ‘net-zero’.

NACT 2021 Annual Treasurers Conference

The NACT Conference was once again collocated with the ACT Annual Conference 2021. The theme of this year's conference was Embracing the next normal: adaptability, innovation, resilience. The agenda was developed exclusively by corporate treasurers, with panel discussions, keynote speakers and the trademark Treasurers Talking to Treasurers session.
