ACT Claw Machine Prize Draw Promotion Terms and Conditions 

1 How to participate

1.1 To participate visit the ACT stand at the ACT Annual Conference at ACC Liverpool on 21-22 May 2024 and use the claw machine. If you are a winner, take the capsule to the desk at the ACT stand to redeem your prize.

1.2 Winners of the ACT Learning prizes (eLearning courses and ACT/CFTE AI for Treasury training courses must provide their name and email address at the desk at the ACT stand to redeem their prize.

1.3 Entries that do not comply with these promotion rules will be void.

1.4 You may enter this promotion as many times as you wish.

2 Start date

2.1 This promotion will start at 8am on 21 May 2024.

3 Closing date

3.1 The closing date for this promotion will be 3pm on 22 May 2024. Entries received by the promoter after this time will be void.

4 Prize

4.1 The prizes are as follows:

  • 4.1.1 One Apple Watch https://www.apple.com/ie/apple-watch-series-9/
  • 4.1.2 One of each of the seven ACT eLearning courses available*
  • 4.1.3 One of two ACT/CFTE AI for Treasury training courses*
  • 4.1.4 One of two free ACT Memberships for 2024-2025**
  • 4.1.5 One of 300 ACT branded bear cuddly toys.

4.2 There is no alternative prize or cash equivalent.

4.3 Each prize is non-transferable and does not include any additional costs and expenses.

5 Restrictions and requirements

5.1 Please note the following restrictions and requirements apply:

  • 5.1.1 The prize must be redeemed on or before 4pm on 22 May 2024.
  • 5.1.2 Where applicable, the prize may not be used for pre-existing bookings made for ACT eLearning courses, and all prizes may not be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers.

5.2 Employees of the promoter are ineligible to enter this promotion.

6 Notification of the results and receipt of the prize

6.1 Winners can collect their prizes directly from the desk at the ACT stand before 4pm on 22 May 2024.

7 Publicity and personal information

7.1 The promoter will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and the ACT Privacy Policy.

7.2 You acknowledge that you may be asked to participate in publicity if you are selected as a winner.

8 General terms

8.1 This promotion is operated by The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) of 3rd Floor, 150 Minories, London EC3N 1LS.

8.2 While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the promotion or that are caused by a third party.

8.3 The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms and conditions, although if you are resident elsewhere you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the laws of that country.

8.4 Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This means that you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of another part of the UK in which you live.

9 Specific terms

9.1 *ACT Learning prizes

  • 9.1.1 There will be one prize of each of the ACT’s eLearning courses, as shown here.
  • 9.1.2 For each prize the following terms and conditions will apply: Terms and conditions for training and eLearning courses | The Association of Corporate Treasurers.
  • 9.1.3 The ACT will use the winners’ details supplied to book them on the applicable eLearning course.
  • 9.1.4 The winners of the ACT/CFTE Generative AI in Corporate Treasury course will be sent full details of the course in June, including details of how to book and the further terms and conditions that will apply to the booking of this course.

9.2 **ACT Membership prizes

  • 9.2.1 If the winner is not currently an individual member of the ACT, the prize will be an Affiliate membership of the ACT for the current subscription period up to 30 April 2025.
  • 9.2.2 If the winner is currently an individual member of the ACT, the prize may be redeemed against the cost of the member’s renewal of this current membership (up to a value of £441) or, if the winner has already paid for renewal for 2024-25, the prize may be redeemed against the winner’s 2025-26 individual membership (up to the value of the relevant membership fee for that year).
  • 9.2.3 The prize will not be given by way of a refund for any ACT membership that has already been paid.
  • 9.2.4 The prize is not redeemable against ACT business membership.
