The roots and presence of corporate treasury in Hong Kong go back more than 30 years and we are delighted to launch our flagship Asia conference working with the HKACT & HKIACCT.
Looking at yesterday's Sunday papers though doesn't suggest we have left London. Debate rages over a proposed 3rd runway for the relatively new airport (where is Boris when you need him?), the letters pages are full of complaints about rubbish collection and what has happened to the missing Malaysian Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur? Life goes on, though.
As you might see from my twitter posts however, much about Hong Kong remains the same; foodstuffs of every type, heat, humidity, huge numbers of people coexisting, this is Hong Kong. And in this writer's view, long may it continue. As a model for life, this is as good as it gets.
We will see on Tuesday whether that is the view of the professional treasury community in Hong Kong and North Asia!
