We’re proud to announce the ACT Fitch Treasury Scholarship, supported by Fitch Group.

This fully funded scholarship supports Black and Asian professionals in the UK and Europe to pursue a recognised treasury qualification and take the next step in their career.

Scholarship routes and eligibility

These supported routes are designed to help you build practical treasury knowledge, develop career-ready skills, and progress with structured learning.

Successful applicants will receive fully funded access to one of the following ACT qualifications.

Are you eligible?

The ACT Fitch Treasury Scholarship is open to:

  • Black and Asian professionals
  • Based in the UK or Europe
  • Early-career professionals seeking entry into treasury (CertTF route)
  • Non-accountants who have previously completed CertTF, have prior work experience, or hold a previous degree (see CertT page for full eligibility criteria)
  • Qualified accountants (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, or reciprocal bodies) seeking to advance into treasury (CertT route)

Please note: This programme is not open to applicants in developing countries, which are supported separately through the ACT Educational Trust bursary programme.

Tactical level

Certificate in Treasury Fundamentals

The ideal first step into treasury, corporate finance and financial markets, equipping you with practical, hands-on skills you can apply immediately.

AssessmentOne online assessment (1.5 hrs)

2026 cohorts:

  • Applications are open from 1 April-4 May – study begins 1 June 2026 (Limited to 30 places)
  • Applications are open from 6 July-17 August  – study begins 7 September 2026 (Limited to 30 places)

Operational level

Certificate in Treasury – Qualified Accountants Route

Build on your accountancy expertise to become a trusted treasury professional. Fully funded exemptions apply, with only one unit to complete.

Study time3–4 months
Entry requirementsAccountancy qualification through ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or their reciprocal bodies
AssessmentOne two-hour online assessment

2026 cohort:

  • Applications open 11 May-15 June – study begins 13 July 2026 (Limited to 15 places)

You will need to provide your accountancy certificate when submitting your application.

Operational level

Certificate in Treasury – Standard Route

Build your treasury knowledge through a structured qualification designed to strengthen your practical understanding and professional capability.

Study time3–4 months
Entry requirementsCompleted CertTF or other work/learning experience. See full requirements.
AssessmentFive two-hour online assessments

2026 cohort:

  • Applications open 11 May-15 June – study begins 13 July 2026 (Limited to 15 places)

A work declaration form will be required when submitting your application if you have not already completed the CertTF.

Fitch Group generously funds the assessment costs. The ACT provides the learning and membership support.

Please note: Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application process

  1. Download your application form.
  2. Complete short personal statements outlining your motivation and career goals.
  3. Prepare work experience declaration form/accountancy qualification certificate if applicable.
  4. Submit your application form via the relevant link.
  5. You will be contacted by the Education team with the outcome of your application before the start date.
